of course it can be dun. it just takes modification. like dpfi to mpfi. and i think you have to cut a motor mount out and weld a new in.

91JayDeeM... I lol'd at your post haha. Thank you

As for the question, I'm just a little skeptical about it. And unfortunately this is going to be a cheapy build if I ever do decide to go though with it.

I'm pb going to crash this post. But what usually happens to an engine That blows? Whats the damage done to. It? And how much will it burn my wallet?

It CAN be done...i'm currently putting a fully Built Turbo H into another 91 EF that I own, it does require modification, you MAY have to bang the firewall back and you will need to relocate a mount, I would TOTALLY suggest the H-to-B kit if it can be done when you do the swap because it makes things easier on a space point of view and honestly, to me, H-Trannies aren't very good to begin with.

And BTW...if you're really contemplating putting the H into the EF, it MAY require some Suspension upgrades up front as well. It's not mandatory, the stock suspension can hold the weight but the front of the car will be lower..it'll be easily seen..and the car will plow in turns (I tracked my old H22-EF)...

Also...get a life insurance policy because an EF with an H22 in it is nothing short of a Mythical creature..a BEAST to drive...

An H in any EF chasis is going to be a beast in a straight line, but what people often overlook is the need to have an upgraded suspension to accomidate not the weight but the torque and power numbers in play at Boosted-H levels. My first H was thrown into a CRX Si, I spent 2 years on suspension (While building up the H) alone before I even threw the H in there. More impressive then it's straight line performance was it's track/Road performance. It didn't plow, the rear end came around with control and it had minimal, body roll.

Love the H...K Series performance for half the cost.

Not that much work. Tell u what i'll start u off proper.

I'll sell you a JDM H22 Bare Block with Crank Caps and a Bare H22 Vtec Head...

Closed deck, fresh hone, not even 3K put on it after it's last install. Head does have an after market performance Valve, spring, retainer set.

You'd spend prolly...1K for full assembly and we're talking high compression specific cuz u can get a set of Arias Pistons with rods, or hell Type S Pistons and rods, and a stock or type S camshafts n' caps, and injectors for under 7, the rest is on little residual ****...

450 for it and with 5 months of saving you'll be putting down 230 @ the wheel with more torque then you can handle!!!

ExtraBlackRex. I'll pm you in a bit.

This motor im getting is FREE, but it's blown... I need to find out what's wrong with it first... Then i can go shopping around for the parts/replacement parts/seals...

I'll tell you the story how it went:
"I was racing my H22 92 Civic(I think it was a 92...) and while in 3rd gear my engine made a loud noise and stopped. I went out outside to check whats up and oil was dripping..."

That's all i know. Please help me fix this thing! I'll post up pictures as soon as i get the motor and see whats up. I'm going to gut this engine to see what has happened to it in the inside if nothing is clearly visable on the outside.

Thanks ALL!!!!!

That sounds scarily like a thrown rod to me. My buddy just threw a rod in his b18 and punched a hole through both sides of the block, ruined the crank as well. That would be obvious in pictures though.

Thrown Rod.

Tear it down, see if u spun any bearings in the process..if not, buy my Bare Block, transfer your internals and you'll be back up running in no time flat...
