Judging by these pictures, I wouldn't pay more than $500 for your shell. Actually, I probably wouldn't pay that much, because I don't want your shell at all since I can easily find a much nicer one.

The problem isn't the paint, it is what is under the paint. And potentially the side skirts . . .
If you think it's a nice shell, why not keep it?

What cancer? There's no rust in the pics and if he sanded it down and did body work as shown in the pics then it should be a good paintjob. Every prepped car looks like that before it gets a paintjob.
If you were local I'd be interested.

really is that what every car looks like before a paintjob...interesting...we own a huge body shop and that rear quarter is an obvious victim of cancer...just cuz there is a shitty bondo job done doesnt mean the insides are still good...yeah it may hold up for a year or two...but nothing will ever stop the cancer from coming back unless u completely remove the affected area and weld in new metal...

I sanded down most of the rust and put rust bullet on it, they say it stops rust perm. So I dont know about it coming back.
edit: Bonda cracks ? ? Why ? ?

It'll be back. Soon, too, if the car stays in the Northeast or Midwest.
The only effective way to remove rust is to cut out any trace of it and weld in new metal. Then you use the Rust Bullet or POR-15.
