Plastic front end cover
Has anyone ever seen a plastic front end cover that covers the whole front bumper/front of hood and fenders? Its made for a CRX and I've got one but have never seen one before. It's from way back in the day and cannot find any info on who/when produced.
I know it's kind of useless without any pics, I'll get pics up in the near future. I won't be back home for awhile though so I was just seeing if anyone knew what I'm talking about.

Re: Plastic front end cover (APEX CRX)
its more of a bra, just form fitted to the front bumper. I'll see if my dad can get some pics of it and send them to me. its sitting in my parents garage where its been for a few years.

you should have waited for the pics before you posted this thread. because know we are all waiting to see something that may or may not exist and may or may not be cool.

Here's a pic. Dirty as hell but I didn't feel like cleaning it up. Any info as to who made it or anything of the sort would be greatly appreciated.

Idk what the hell it is. My dad's been in the Honda game since way before it was cool to be. He's an old school auto-xer. But, anyway, he bought it in the late 80's after he got his 88 Si but he's old and doesn't remember where he got it from. Not only that but it's been 20 years.

Re: (draperj09)
I no longer have a Crx. I got out of Hondas for a few years and just bought a sedan actually. It's torn down right now gettin all ready for a minor build. But I do still have the cover, yes. I will probably have it forever since I have never seen another one in my life. I may be able to get a pic on a friends car though but it wouldn't be for a bit so don't hold your breath.

It almost looks like its for an 87 crx or older. I say that because of the hoods 87 crx's have could actually open with one of those installed

If I even knew where to start that might not be a bad idea. But I don't and I live in ND where things like that aren't really as simple as, say, CA.

Yeah, I feel you there. I pass at least 20 corn fields on my way to anywhere. I think I am the only one in my town that doesn't drive a Turbo Diesel Dually. Too bad we can't see it on a crx.

It's a mold to make bumpers n such, might be, my dad works in that kind of business. He sometimes brings them home, and they look exactly like that

Re: Plastic front end cover (acmoc)
Ah, def not a mold to make a bumper. If he brings em home all the time throw up some pics, I'd like to see. This is a bumper cover with molded in lip and all.
And I've got it cleaned up now. I'll see what I can do about getting some pics of it installed on a car.

that looks pretty cool. do you see any stamps or tags on it anywhere? it does look like it's made for the 88-89 hatchies but at the same time, it looks like it was for a wagon too

Re: (es.roadster)
The mold appears to be made for a 1st gen crx. The bumper grill and lights don't look to match an 88-89 rex. Besides, the 1st gen rex was a popular car for autoxer's in the 80's.
There is something else that can be used that would be a little more easily sourced. Its called the "clear bra" and its sort of a clear sticker you put on your front end to protect it from small rocks and bugs and etc. Google it
