Arrived today! New rear wiper arm needed if your running an oem SIR rear spoiler. It's a lower profile so that it will clear the underside of the wing when you turn on the wiper

hey deetz you also need the jdm/canadian wiper motor. trust me. i found a set locally for $100 here are the pics i have with only the wiper arm installed...



compared to the usdm one...

when i talked the millwoodshonda.com they said that the "SE" wiper motor and arm came on a 91 crx si. and that the wiper motors are infact different and now i believe them as i looked and my "new" motor and arm.

hmm, well, i bought my hatch whole from Japan from an SiR, so i have the original motor thats needed.

I'll check around and see what i can come up with for you.

I have a 90 rhd sir that had the jdm wiper motor but it didn't work so i picked up a used wiper motor from a 89 si, the only difference i could see was about 1/8" in height difference on spindle on the motor. So i just added a rubber washer between the motor and trunk, but i need the "se" wiper arm so i can test it out.

As far as I can tell the 89-91use he same motor and arm. Yea that 1/8 in difference renders it useless to those of is with the oem spoilers. As soon as I mount mine completely tomorrow I will take better pics of the 2 side by side. When I called the dealer they told me that it had to cone from a 91 Crx Si with the spoiler because if it didn't have the spoiler then it came with what we all have.

FYI i found a very clean DA rear wiper arm which is identical to the JDM wiper arm which can be used, BUT you still need the jdm motor for it to sit lower and clear the spoiler.

The SE wiper arm fits the SiR wiper motor, and has the clearance for the the SiR spoiler.

The part number for the SiR wiper arm from Honda Japan and the part number for the Canadian SE wiper arm are identical.

I worked for a Honda dealer until 2006 and replaced mine on my SiR (the same RHD Deetz's old company imported for me back in 2005), and it is perfect.

The motor is a different part number. I have my old wiper arm and a USDM hatch w/motor. If I have a chance I will dig it out and try it on the hatch and let you know.

I have a question.

when i open my driver door and it goes "BOING!!!" what is the name of that piece in between the two hinges that i need to replace or reattach or whatever?

Its a common thing with the CRX, but i dont know the name of the part, or how to replace it.

please dont flame me. lol

im just trying to restore a CRX for once.

my other 5 i just chopped up,primered, slapped a ls vtec in it and called it a day.

this one im going to attempt to restore to about 90% original.
