hi all,
name is Mike. Live in Perth, Western Australia.
i have 3 CRXs - [GENONE], [BANDIT] and [SINISTR].
[GENONE] is a 1983 Ballade Sports
[BANDIT] is a 1984 Ballade Sports with a D16A3 (DOHC)
[SINISTR] is a 1991 Si with a D16A8
Each one has some kind of a history about it, but I wanted to show some pics... however Redpepperracing is down and thats where all my pics are hosted.
GENONE is the 29th Crx to be made. Stock as much as possible. 1.5L SOHC EW5 with an Auto Gbox
BANDIT is my latest purchase for street and track. gettin fixed atm as the front end need some repairs
SINISTR is my second CRX i bought, 91Si, received some engine/suspension mods for motorkhanas etc - is currently in the workshop gettin repaird from minor rear damage and getting a bodykit.
Hope to post pics as soon as I can.
thanks
Mike

Hi,
I bought the car about 7yrs ago, for AU$3500 (back then US$2000).
I drove it just like a normal car for a few years, met a couple other CRX boyz and then found out that it was a quiet rare example. So I babied the car, got it resprayed in the original colour again, cleaned up etc. For the last 3yrs she sits at my parents house undercover and maybe comes out 2 times a year for a carshow or two. I did a rebuild on the motor abotu 3yrs ago and maybe done 5000kms since the rebuild.
I believe she's already picked up on value... and i havent found another 1983 CRX to have a build number close to mine - they have all been about 10000 off.

Re: (hondaboy4life)
hey there.
In oz we got the two models - 87/89 and 90/91.
87/89 had orange indicators at the front and a slightly different bumper (missing the two recesses)
90/91 had clear indicators and had the two recesses inserted into the bumper.
So they did in actual fact make them different... hope that also clears it up for you a bit.
