Re: (90civSi)
Wow, what a day! Well, the beast runs, and sounds GREAT! We were going ot take it to the track tonight, but ran out of time to get an alignment done.... ah well... maybe friday or next wednesday
90Black: THanks bro! And thanks for the braces
Ryan: Actually, it is a 94 Civic EX Throttle cable... it was in the car before we did the swap... it worked really good The clutch cable is a 90-91 Integra cable, and so far it is working great as well.
crXpo: Hey babe! Long time no see! And n9o, it can't have the "turtle" namesale... hehe.. my new car will get that name
b18c_crx: The car had a GSR swap in it before. To be honest with you, the same things are needed no matter what you had in it before... it is basically completely different, and nothing you had matters.... well, maybe except for the fuel pump... lol.
90civSi: Well, you could always put a K in and not be jealous anymore
More good news..... We have another CRX coming in tomorrow for yet even more K-goodness, and basically a complete frame-up restoration... and THIS one's gonna be a MONSTER!

Bump for good clean swap. If you don't mind me asking, How much money did the swap total out at, and what kinda hours do you think were put into it. And lastly what was the biggest surprise doing the swap( something that didn't go well that you weren't expecting.)

Re: (Iceycrx)
ilovemyef9: Well, i can't really quote numbers online since there are so many variables. As far as time, once again, that depends on how detailed you want to get, and how much you can do yourself. I know, thats a broad answer, but for comparisons sake, i think that Ryan from RyWire.com has a bit over $10,000 invested in his swap i think, and that was basically just getting the motor into the car. This green car for instance though had a TON of detail work done inside of the engine bay to make it as clean as possible. A semi wire tuck to hide the fuse box, etc... comparing the time it took to do this car versus do a basic swap is not really comparable in my mind. This car from drop-off to drive out has probably a month of time in it... but much of that was x-mas/new years vacation, waiting on parts, and body shop time for the engine bay... so there was a lot of twiddling thumbs with this swap waiting on parts to show up.
Biggest suprise? The amount of time it takes to get certain parts when you need them Make sure you have -everything- before you begin the swap, or you could be stuck for waaaay longer than you really want to be.
BLAZE: Thanks!
Iceycrx: Yes... Yes it might... lol

Re: (CRXBart)
Jonny Black: Bunnies..... Hahaha! Is that like a magical happy special easter bunny???
CRXBart (a): Hmmm... Niagra with a K... well, if mine is ready in time, i may. Depends.
CRXBart (b): Hopefully you do The K is -really- a nice swap. Its funny now looking at B series... it just looks kinda weird, like the K was meant to be, not the B.. haha! ah well... As for where we are getting the K's, well basically from wherever we can find them in stock.. lol. One has been from a private seller. They're out there, just gotta search harder.
acid, duff, down, knite: Thanks for the great compliments! They are greatly appreciated by myself and everyone else at the shop

Good job on the swap.
I'd just like to add that I really like the design of that braket. The holes make the braket much more rigid.
Anyone modifying a unibody should keep this trick in mind.

Pardon my ignorance, but do you mind explaining why it is better with holes in it? I was trying to figure it out but couldn't come up with anything that seemed reasonable enough.

Re: (STREETWERKZ)
That looks like alot of hard work paid off. Its amazing how the envelope is being pushed more and more because of hard work like that it'll never stop progressing. Really nice job.
