Need help on B16A1 Swap Urgent
Hello, I am thinking of buying a EDM B16A1 from a EE8 CRX. Is $952 good for an engine w/ 110000 miles, including tranny, dizzy, manifolds, wiring harness, and ecu? It needs the oil pan seal changed. I have been told to replace the camshaft seal and crankshaft seal, also the water pump and the timing belt. I am getting a set of mounts and axels, and was wondering if I would need new hubs or anything else that I would need. Do I need a shift linkage? What model/year parts would I use from a US Spec civic, and Also is the vtec solinoid on the block? Thanks

What model do you have? What current motor is in the engine compartment?

vtec soliniod is on the side of the head in front of the dizzy, the camshaft seal is behind the vtec soliniod
pending your year and model, then we can tell you what you need,
i dont kno how i just made 2 posts??

I am in europe, it would be 600 to ship an engine here from the states, and 1800 from an importer would be 2400 which I cannot afford at the current time, that is why I dont buy one. I would if I could get one imported here for a reasonable price, but I cant. I have a 91 Civic DX Hatch with MPFI conversion already done. Thanks

its kinda hard to say if thats a good deal motors might be more over there but i would assume they would be less for a b16 over there because crx's came with 16's in europe and not in america... but i wouldint pay that much for a b16

That is about the going rate here, I actually thought it was decent, because if I got one from Hmotors.com hten it would be like $1200 plus $600 to get it shipped here, cant afford that.
