my vtec half way done!
over 1000 hours in this now and 6 months down the line the shell we got had been fully stripped +de-rusted, new metal everywhere, bay shaved + cleaned up and all the interior sanded and smoothed and painted.
just glad to be putting it back together now (lots of goodies going on once i have sandblasted and painted them)
where it stands atm:

That's a lot of work, glad to see you're actually finishing it.......I have seen a couple of my friends do this to EG6 Si's and never finish them and they end up being crushed because no one wants to put them back together.

putting it back tpgether is ther fun part lol.
master cylinder is off an ITR , our mb6 b18 vtec civic motor also had a 1 inch cylinder (made by lucas) most seals are now on along with some suspension. its getting there, slowly but getting there lol!

Re: my vtec half way done!
yes brake booster and 1 inch master cylinder are a straight swap into a crx bulkhead, everything is the same bar the size of the master cylinder and booster (it does fit ...jsut lol)
if you look at the brake booster pic you can see we put a hydro clutch system in from an EG civic to (mounted through the firewall after we reinforced the bulkhead with a custom plate)
wish i had gone gunmetal with the wheel centers instead of pale gold/bronze lol
jsut a shame its winter now and even if i get it started it wont see tarmac until april/may time weather depending lol, still gives me plenty of time to get it jsut how i want it

Re: my vtec half way done!
sorry i cant help it...all my engines i paint red lol with either enemal or vht base color + vht clear. it just makes the dirt was right off it being smooth.
not keeping this engine long it was jsut a cheap low mile b16a2 to get me rolling until i can build up a b18c4 turbo motor (did 200+ hp with my last b20 nasp rootbeer mugen crx, search for it pics are on here somewhere lol)

Re: my vtec half way done!
front calipers are honda legend twin pot brakes and they are paired with rover mgzs 282mm 4 stud brakes.
the rear brakes are calipers off a rover mgzs and they use a 262mm rotor (basically the front disks on my VT are now on the rear with rover calipers as they are a straight fit)
basically its a cheap way to have awesome brakes
exhaust is here, ended up with an oe system atm but will be changing it some point down the line. also i need to make up a spacer plate to fit between the cam belt side rubber mount and the engine bracket to drop the engine 6mm lower as we had to make up an adapter plate on the hydrobox to get it to fit (and no innovative dont make off the shelf mounts for hydro B series box to B series EE crx's ) the engine is just not level
