My hoopty 4 dr build thread
Bought a 1988 Honda civic sedan LX from a buddy for 550
The car came with Full CRX SI brakes with drilled and slotted rotors, all the bushings were replaced with energy suspensions polyurethane bushings, front and rear sway bars, front and rear strut tower bars, car was completely stripped, seam welded, tokico blues with nuespeed springs and adjustable coilover sleeves.
Cleaned it up a little bit and changed a couple things.
When I bought it, it had a mini me swap with a lot of issues...
so I picked up a b20 with a p8r head from my buddy that just wrecked his DA integra
Got it swapped with the help of K7-1Ktrevor, threw a CTR header on it along with a 4 inch intake. had to convert it back to obd0 to be able to run the ecu that i got with the motor because i couldn't find an obd1 dizzy at the time.
some more specs on the swap
B17 cable tranny,
8lb flywheel,
1 ply head gasket,
gsr dual bend shifter
custom shift linkage
ARP head studs
didn't like the old valve cover so i got a new one.
Then got a spark plug wire cover from ALL in FAB
I got bored so i did some cool kid stuff.
trip to the fabric store....
some elbow grease....
picked up a wink mirror too
Once i swapped to DA brakes i became a wheel *****
some wheels my buddy had on his integra.
SSR Type-Cs
and polished blades, no tires on these yet. and they're probably gonna go on another 4 door im getting soon
Just some pics of what the car looked like at this stage
Takin it to trevor's to make it faster
crower 403's
crower dual valve springs with steel retainers
Adjustable cam gears and gates timing belt
Stage 3 ebay clutch
Hytech Rep header
Traction bars
Stuff i don't have pictures of is trevors impressive polish and port job he did on the P8R head, i kept the stock valves in it, new valve stem seals.
and how she looks now
I still have a long ways to go on this build.
the purpose is a fun awesome handling daily that i can take to an autox and be competitive with.
i picked the sedan because it's straight up gangster lookin.
show some love or bring the hate.

Nice rim choice!
Those are definitely the right wheels.
Nice job on the headliner, but it took me a while to reply because the pattern gave me convulsions =P

your right sorry, add all in fab on facebook. they have a double threaded nut that goes onto 2 studs on the underside of the wire cover and then two button headed allens hold the cover on.

Re: My hoopty 4 dr build thread
oh and what you know about my valve cove mod?! haha
going out for fresh paint tomorrow along with the velocity stacks for my ITB's
also in the pic you can see I'm running a tucked radiator now.
2 10" slim fans on it now
