Trying to get the drive-shafts in.
Not going too well because of one of the bolts. WILL NOT come out.
I'll try to get it tommorow.

Re: My 90 EF Shell build thread
Looks nice, but you might want to change it to this forum.
Anyway, I jumped the battery today and all my ACCESSORIES worked. Gonna use a resistor on the seatbelt thing, since I have no need for it.
Turned to Ignition 1 and it died out. Gonna see if I can use a different battery to start the car, or something along those lines.
One can hope, right???

Re: My 90 EF Shell build thread
Used my chevy's battery (lol didnt even remove it).
Getting the break pad stopper tommorow. Ignore the paint on the break lights, I'm stripping it off in a day or two (turpentine does wonders).
I'm thinking I need to put a real ground end on the starter. But that still doesnt explain why all I hear is a clicking noise, and no priming or anything.

Vid related. Sorry for loads of downtime.
Also smell wise I was worried about a wire that kept on burning. I took it out and was being sure nothing else was on fire.

I really think you should scrap this car or sell it to somebody who knows wtf they're doing, buy a good running project Honda built by somebody who knew wtf they were doing, and never, ever do anything electrical, mechanical, cosmetic, hydraulic, or pneumatic to it ever. Nope, never! When it needs maintenance, return to the seller and builder of the car to have them perform the work. Pay them handsomely for saving you and your car's *** and be sure to leave a generous tip on top of that.
This entire thread should be deleted so the next generation of EF owners don't get any wrong ideas.

Re: My 90 EF Shell build thread
The wiring should be okay for the tail lights. Turn signal lights are the little "clip" lights in the wiring harness right? if so, I didn't replace those bulbs and they may be burned out.
I'm very-much considering making a metal (covered in rubber of course) cage to house my fusebox in, to the left of my clutch, once this car runs.
Also shortening the half-shaft on the passenger side today, and rewelding it. I'll update when it's in.
NOPE. It broke the blade.
Tried to put my break caliper back on, felt like a retard when I didnt know how. So I give up for today.

Re: My 90 EF Shell build thread
Where in ANY swap thread in history have you read and/or viewed pictures of somebody shortening their intermediate shaft?
Now I'm just feelin' mad trolled!

That's really mature and definitely makes you appear smarter.
(I assume it's not difficult to sense the sarcasm)

I understand. I am too... and you've been getting trolled way harder than anybody else in this thread.
Op, kudos to you for stringing so many people along with your silly antics.
Lock it up please, Mods.

If the definition of getting trolled is to not act like a know it all child, then yes, I've been trolled hard.
Forgive me for not being an ******* like you and actually helping people here.

At least he's learning. I was kind of this half *** when I got my ES2 but I started taking advice from experienced owners and now I can take anything apart and remember where everything goes. It's a lot better down the road to take the extra effort to do it right the first time.

I help plenty of H-T members including shiroun, the troll responsible for this atrocious build thread. See:
