Default mud guard innerchangeability

i have a quick question about diffrent years for mud guards. i have a 88 rex and a local dealer has front mud guards for an 88 but they only have the rears for a 91. does anybody know if they changed the design of the rear bumper that much between the years. and if they did change the will the still work within reason. i really want these but i don't want it to look like hell. thanks

The rear mud guards on the 88 and 89 crx cosmetically are slightly longer rhat those from a 90 or 91, but other than that are identical. All crx rear mud guards will mount up on any 2nd gen crx, but they will not fit flush because of the slight curve in the lower portion of the bumper.

Wouldn't do it if I were you. I purchased a set of the '91 rear mudguards when I had my '89. Didn't fit. Not even close.

I didn't take pics when I had them, because I was so pissed off that I spent $40 and waited two weeks to get them, only for them not to fit. on me!!
