Mini-Me swap in my 91 Si...
Alright so last year I put my D16y7 from my old EK into my SI hatch and i just recently got a y8 head for free... I kept the 0bd0 Si ECU,Harness, and intake manifold so my question is what would be the easiest way to hook up Vtec? and then my second question is... what kind of numbers are people getting with a fully ported/polished head with lets say all Skunk2 head internals/intake manifold/throttle body? thanks for any and all input!

Have you checked the FAQ's? or Searched? All (if not most) of this info can be found in there. But I feel nice today so I'll help you out a little.

That's good info on mini-me swaps, the guy that wrote did his with a D16Z6 head (stock) and made 106 hp and 101 ft/lbs so a Y8 head should make a little more power (higher compression). As far as hp #'s with polish, cams, spring, etc, I can't help you there. And I'm not sure if the Y8's came with a aluminum oil pan or not but if it didn't I would not use one for a D/D (softer then steel). Hope this help you, and remember..... The Search button is your best friend .

Re: Mini-Me swap in my 91 Si... (Red_ED8)
the metal pan is beter if your car is really low because the aluminum one will crack easy if it is hit it happend to a buddy of mine sucked *** as for running vtec the best way is to do an obd1 conversion and run a p28 ecu that will cost the most the next best thing is a vtec controller next you can use a msd rpm activator and last but not least the getto was a push botton switch i have done all off these was so i know they all work but trust me obd1 is the best hope this helps
