Default Junkyard Fender Flares

So my buddy and I went to the Junkyard to search for a Legend front lip for his CRX(in the pics) And came up with a great idea for a CRX fender flare...this particualar flare can be made to fit the front and the rear, and matches the wheel wells almost perfectly....We were only able to walk away with two flares to do the front of his car...He will finish the rears later... If you want to know what these came off of, think German Engineering!

They look sick!

good idea for cars that actually warrant needing fender flares. The do look to fit the curve well, but why put them on a car that looks like the wheels dont evn fill the factory flare? not my style at all. waste of time and money if you dont need them to clear an 8 inch with 0 offest or something

Well, He really needs them in the rear cause he is almost rubbing, and he will eventually cut out the front stock flare so he can run a little wider up front. German Engineering.....I thought VW was the only on hahah.......90' Jetta

I think it looks good, would look better if they were molded into the stock fender.

Another good point...the uncut flare would have extended all the way to the bottom where the stock side skirt would have sat.

Here's some pics of the test fit on the rear of a junker rex....they're long enough to reach... 90 Jetta.

I agree...at least move the harness mounts to the cage crossbar....that little tiebar he has it strapped to now will offer NO real assistance when those belts are really needed!

I think it's hilarious when someone tries to post the "picture of racecarness" and it shows ignorance to the umpteenth power.

I love how some people think that more bars = better handling. The added bars to that rollcage aren't even triangulated!!!

You can have the coolest jungle gym in your car - that might impress JDM fanboys and wannabe racers, but the rest of us just have something to laugh about.

Personally, I started laughing hysterically when he talked about beating bikes with a B16 swap.... lol.

Also, you should take note that there is a regular unsealed battery relocated behind the passenger seat stuffed onto the floor, so if you want to talk about unsafe practices, you should start there! Can you imagine the idiot that tried to modify that car?

Geez.. I saw that harness bar and I crapped myself. "Okay, there are 3 places to mount these harnesses, so instead of using them, let's make a piece that is incredibly dangerous and use that instead!"

hahaha...

Well I assume with the almighty B16A that it should be fully capable of beating a few Schwinns, but other than that I guess he should clarify what he means by "beats bikes" because yeah that's downright retardhilarious.

...and good eye catching the Auto Zone unsealed battery chilling in the floorboard - x 11tybillion for that nonsense.

I guess the mismatched headlights give this B16A CR-X magical bike-beating powers?

go have fun with your uber stud fender flares for those oh so wide racings wheels or just go back to the pep boys parking lot where all your true fans reside

awwwww that's cute how many AA batteries does that take?? bwahahahaha beat bikes, i needed that laugh. almost as funny as the srt that tried to race me yesterday... and if by slim chance he could beat me on my bike, i'd still win by paying $11bucks for a full tank of gas.

Okay

1. That harness will not function properly the way it is mounted, belts needs be mounted a little lower than where they hit on the shoulders and come through the seat.

2. That monkey bar setup of the square tube in the back will do nothing for him and in the event of an accident when that tube snaps loose it is going to hit the back of his head. I'm sure he wears a helmet everytime he drives it.

3. That passenger is dead, equal protection (if you don't know what that means find a sanctioning bodies rule book)

4. Understanding safety is crucial and there is clearly a lack of that in the way it is executed in this car.

5. What is the deal with the red glove box and center console?

6. B16 may beat a Schwinn but it is not going to beat any real motorcycle, I take that back it may be a motorcycle where a guy is not a moron and doesn't condone street racing, past that he didn't beat any motorcycle

7. Frayed harnesses are trouble waiting to happen

8. Street racing is for people that are not firing on all cylinders.

9. Unprotected battery/battery terminals are an explosion waiting to happen, especially when they are close to the gas tank.
