I need help on putting jdm sir seats in my 91 si.
I got the 2 seats awhile back from this guy. He promised me it'll bolt right in.
Its the ones with leather on the sides.
I tried to install the sir seat but the bracket is to narrow than that of the usdm si holes.
I researched and read the forum about swapping the pans but the thing is that I dont have the oem si seat any more. I was using the da seats which did not bolt in right.
Pls help as im new to this.

I used my 90 seat pans which I HAD to modify. Those JDM pans will not fit on a 90-91 hatch. Will not bolt up to the floor pan. I used the stock pans and cut the pivot arm from it and welded it to the edge of the pan. The jdm seat back has a pivot arm at the edge of the seat. So without relocating that seat pan arm, the bottom and top will not attach together.

interesting info in this thread...though the OP should have put what SiR seats in the title, as both civic and crx models came in SiR oversea's and both had different bolt patterns.

I was lucky and bought 1991 jdm crx Si seats- full cloth, no pleather like the SiR version, and they bolted directly in my Canadian model crx Si

Rallypoint_1 can I use the seat pan from 91 civic dx? Or it has to come from a 91 Civic SI?

You need 90-91. 88-89 has different mounting positions on the bracket.

I used 90-91 Si seat pans for my SiR seats. I pulled both sets completely apart and swapped material. It was time consuming but worked perfect.

I have a 91 Civic Si as well. The original SiR seat brackets bolted perfectly into an 88 hatch that I owned at the time. I did the pan swap when I sold that car and got a 91 model.

Yes SiR!!! No problem. Just to clarify, you have JDM CR-X seats going into your 91 USDM Si hatch. Right?
