Re: I have a question about my 88 CRX VIN Plate
CRX's all had vin plates that I have seen. maybe it was a Japanese only thing. A hatch I had (made in canada) had a sticker. All the crx's came from japan.

Re: I have a question about my 88 CRX VIN Plate
Thank you for your input. I am trying to narrow my stupid so called "it has potential" collection to one vehicle. I own a 90 CRX, 88 CRX, 91 Civic SI, 91 Civic DX and a 99 Si. I sometimes buy on impulse and carelessness which is something that I am trying to undo.
So why am I asking about the VIN? I am trying to keep the vehicle which holds more personal value to me. Maybe the VIN means something that I don't know. I would love to keep the vehicle that is rare or hard to find as opposed to a common.

Re: I have a question about my 88 CRX VIN Plate
All the cars do have VINs however I am trying to come up with my own elimination process. I noticed that the 88 CRX has a different VIN "plate" as opposed to the VIN "sticker" found on my 90 CRX. I know there are die hard fans here, I just want to know if the difference in VIN plates means anything? If I am going to keep a car, I would like to keep one that is viewed as a hard to find or unique. While it is fun to have different cars and ideas, it is not the most efficient or best way of completing one vehicle. For this reason, I am trying to find a way to make my elimination process easier. I am sure some of you can relate

MOST of the crx's came from japan (EF) keyword: most
MOST of the hatches came from candadaaaa (EE)
& MOST of the sedans were made in Usa (ED)
the vin plate is a japanise thing as opposed to the stickers with is an american thing.
OP: you should look up your paint colors too, some colors are more rare that others

Both my HF and my old 91 CRX Si had VIN stickers. My friend's 88 CRX Si along with my 89 CRX DX parts car had a vin plate on the door jam. I always just assumed it was a changed between 88-89 and 90-91 but it sounds like it wasn't *shrug*

Re: I have a question about my 88 CRX VIN Plate
I don't know where mine was built, and I don't really care, but it's an ED code, with a vin plate, no sticker.
Keep the one you want to build and be done with it.
