Re: how to make the yellow lights from the tail lights stay on
This is a little off topics but just speaks towards thinking outside the box... I am 24 and i remember being 16 with a 91 hatch and everyone that had amber/clear stock blinkers HAD to buy the clear ones to rebel against the standard. Then everyone went jdm and bought vision or knock-off vision amber ones. So for while everyone went amber. Then the S2000 came out with it's awesome HID headlights with amber blinkers, and what did everyone want?(except me) JDM ones with clear/chrome blinkers. It's ridiculous. I am just happy to see someone doing something else, and others patting him on the back!

How is this original if this has been done a loooooooooooooong time ago op is not the first person to do it so he is not the originator or being original. This so called idea has been around for 20 years. Like another post stated this was done a long time ago in the socal race scene

alot of tickets were being passed out people have to remember that they are not the king of the road. Roads are used for "public" transportation meaning everyone. There are always people that are a costumed to seeing yellow blinkers when you are merging lanes. Say someone is concentrated at the road and they catch a glimpse of your taillights they may think that you are trying to turn or you set your emergency lights on. they might get lost and trough confusion might brake or accelerate since they are unaware of the situation you have set up to them so you can look like the so called awesome in your car.

He is,and I Agree,Why don't cars come from the Factory with the Yellow/amber turn signals on when brake lights are on??? ever Think about it?? The front turns on dim when lights are on is Ok (most cars from factory ie other makes models)have it,but the rear turns Dumb in mo,now if he did this mod on tail lights and then got the turns Tinted red I see no prob with it,as long as turns were Dim when lights were on (only bright when signaling)Not bright all the time.........

The easyest way to do it would be to take some brake light bulb sockets, make them fit in the turn signal housing, then wire them up so they come on with the running lights then flash with the turn signal.
Fairly easy to do, but dumb at the same time.

lmfao omg seriously unsafe, ur a ****ing idiot if u think this is unsafe, if it still blinks it is legal. Ur front ambers next to the headlights stay on until they blink the more lights the better people can see u at night. Just wire it like the front ones are easy, this has been done for years...

there is a difference in drl and having your rear amber turn signal lights on all the time. Im just saying some drivers are accustomed to certain things its your car and you can do whatever you want with it. If i am an idiot so are the people that make the dot lighting laws what do they nothing compared to tunerEF9

Re: how to make the yellow lights from the tail lights stay on
This seems like a surprisingly volatile issue! I'll go ahead and jump in with my two cents worth...So what the OP is talking about is blinkers on steady all the time, except when making a turn they blink.
So like some other people were talking about, what if the person behind them happened to just barely glance at them and see the amber glow? Worst case scenario, they think the person in front is turning (which is pretty retarded IMO) and they slow down without needing to.
How is this unsafe? Does anyone really happen to think that someone is going to be behind them freaking out like "OMFG HIS TURN SIGNALS ARE ON BUT NOT BLINKING!! WTF CAN THIS MEAN?! JESUS H. CHRIST, I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!1!"
I personally doubt it. The "coolness" of this mod is up in the air, and basically in the eye of the beholder. Hell, some people still buy spinner hubcaps and altezza tail lights for gods sake. I don't know why, but they do. Will I laugh at their car when I see it? LOL you're damn skippy, but that isn't the point here. The point is that this mod seems pretty safe as far as mods go.

Re: how to make the yellow lights from the tail lights stay on
not sure if ur serious or not, but yes the front corner lights (not bumper lights) are always on not the running lights the blinkers so i see no differnce in if the backs were on all the time if they still blink whats the diff,
i mean i really dont care cause i would never do this just thought id put my opinion in on the subject guess i have nothing better to do..

In California you could do this legally if your tails were red and they would have to come on with your headlights.
You can do amber fronts... with DRLs.
Underglows... hmmm...
Can't do red because you aren't allowed to have red light emitting from the front of your vehicle
Can't do amber becuase it can't be on all the time from the back
Not sure about white?... but it's a distraction to other drivers so FAIL.

Re: how to make the yellow lights from the tail lights stay on
the concept and the horrific attempt to justify it are both just one step away from this kid, or anyone that thinks this makes sense, swapping headlights for taillights and taillights for headlights. "come on y0 itz mad originalz".
