Re: HOw to install GLOW GAUGES in 88 civic lx (Honda_Rydahz)
instead of everyone telling him he shouldnt put those in why doesnt someone just tell him how to put them in. everyone knows glow guages are ugly and rice but who cares he wants them in his car and he likes them so let him do what HE wants.

never messed with guages before but he sounds like he knows what hes talking about.

This is why people call H-T hater tech. Why don't you people just help the man instead of refusing too because it's not YOUR style. Way to fail at life.
I've never messed with my gauges, but if I had I'd help you out Honda-Rydaz. Ignore these JDM only rice boys. If you aren't doing exactly what they are, you're not cool like them.

I think people are just trying to do their best to keep another CRX from being molested. Bashing on someone may not be the best way to do this, but that's how it rolls.
This guy's question is like walking into a church and asking someone to help you setup your satanic ritual. Not happenin'
...ok I've been drinking, but expletive it and expletive the ricer gauges.

Jesus christ. This is the reason why i never come into the crx forum anymore(or any of the crx/ef OG's). The dude didnt ask you what you thought about his gauges, he asked how to install them. I think theyre retarded and utterly pointless...but guess what? It doesnt matter what i think about it cuz its not my car. And its not like hes putting on an eg front end or something. If he sells the car and the person doesnt like it they can take it off. This doesnt have to be permanant. Damn ive never seen so many people get butt hurt over GAUGES!!!
To the OP-Crawfo661 gave a good description on how to install them. The only thing i would recommend is to not use glue. Use something that can come off easily just in case you decide you dont want them. Good luck man

Gauge inserts are not a big deal - you can always take them off. I've got some on my car and some black housing headlights. I am such a ricer, right? I used to like the look, and I am still Ok with it. But I have all the parts to put my car back to stock. Not a big deal. Its not a 63 piece body kit that you have to mold to the body....

easily arguable the dependability of a import compared to a domestic... the americans are so dumb they had to come up with there own measuring system just to screw over there own citizen just as they sell there citizens cars that break down JUST so that you have to take it back and the company and they can make more money off you domestic car fanatic retards... I learned from experience....

Well sir to answer your question.......there are small screws on the stock cluster that you should be able to use to secure the aftermarket ones in place, no "glue" is needed. just use the wiring from the gay orange lights on top of the original cluster to wire the new ones and you'll even be able to adjust your dim using the stock controller. P.S. if you have a steady hand, you can even paint over the stock gauges pins with a red marker to make them really stand out againt the white backround ;-)

This has to be the most entertaining rice-bashing I've read so far on H-T... I almost snorted coffee out my nose. This is right up there with painted trim and V-TEC stickers all over a smoking 70hp HF...

2nd to the NSX the s2000 is the lamest honda ever.
Dumbass ricer
Let me guess you drive a bone stock save some flowz 89GT and really think you have the pinacal of American Muscle, guess what? you don't. You are probbly going to be like nah s0n I swapped an LX its fast y0.
Said Doner car was a late model base 5L lincon making an awe inspiring 190 Crank HP. You ran some kid who is driving around with a 3 deck wing in his hand me down from granny 1992 Accord LX with an intake and hacked off muffler. Doing that gave you the biggest feeling of pride and makes you think you are the "IMPORT KILLER" as your nice white olde English Vinal over your windwshield says.
You are the bottom feeder of car people. You got one little taste of torque and feel high and mighty. For that I can't blame you if your a 17 wait yes I can, I had cobbled together a violent SBF at that age and was already done a swap in my hatch.
You just are the slime of all gear heads.
