Default how to check obd1 ecu codes?

i just swapped my car to obd 1 but it wont start and i cant check the codes, ive heard something about grounding a certain wire but cant find which one can someone help?

d4 is the service connector. ground that, or wire it to b20 and jump your timing adjust plug its blue and the wires are blk a nd brwn should be by the left side of your glove box
