Re: Hey! I have a CRX!
Could be that its a gutless high revving 1.6L with a super long final drive although I notice VTEC is being weak most of the time. I think my LMAs are getting very worn and not all lobes are engaging. Just doesn't crack like it used to.

Yes. Good on gas, fun powerband (never stops pulling), sounds nice too. Cons: gutless as fack but ive never felt a B16 with proper gearing, I bet it helps a lot.
I'm reading up on LS/VTEC swaps so I can do mine right. I would recommend 1.8 VTEC over a B16 any day.

i've ridden in an ef with a b16 with the proper b16 trans, with i/h/janky exhaust, cam gears and maybe cams... pulled hard, but definatly lacked the torque an ls/v will give you

Re: Hey! I have a CRX!
Did a 10w30 Mobil 1 oil change right before that video, it doesn't seem to burn oil 6k+ anymore. Cost $116 for 2 jugs though.
Today I got ready for the new tires: Stock EF Si knuckles = 1" lower than my Integra knuckles.
Took dust rings out to fit B axles.
Fresher LCA's.
BJ's.
Current tires.
Last wheel came in.
My car feels great. Tracks straighter, it doesn't have a dead spot, I notice a lot less camber and feel more tire on the road, it doesn't oversteer on hard corners and snap back - very stoked on that. I actually got the rear end to break out on a tight corner and keep it pretty controlled, that means the front sticks harder I guess. The stock brakes from the donor car SUCK. The passenger caliper is a little bit seized on the pins so the car dives on braking. While under the car I noticed huge slop in the intermediate shaft and it makes noises. Little **** but I just want the tires on.

New tires rock!!! logged 300 kms on them, they seem broken in. I've never felt this car handle so awesome esp with the new front end aswell.

Re: Hey! I have a CRX!
^^Thanks guys!
Front knuckles, ball joints, tie rods, LCAs all fresh. Not new but the best parts that I've taken off donor Civics over the last few years except brakes, they need major work.

Re: Hey! I have a CRX!
Damn, I either installed a bad tie rod or the inner is mang'd. Trial and error..
Welded on muffler instead of a couple tacks so its sealed now. Sounds completely different; clean and not tinny anymore. I must make new sound clip...I get to hit more VTEC...FTW!
New LMA's for the head are coming next pay then saving for a California road trip at the end of summer!

Re: Hey! I have a CRX!
If your heading down to Southen California hit me up and we can run our crx's heads up and see who's the better man. Haha. Or we could just check out eachothers rides in person and enjoy the fact that both of our rides have been "Built not Bought"

I still have to save a butt load of money but I should make the deadline. We have no idea on route yet, we need some sort of game plan but its going to basically be a go with the flow trip. Taking the Wash/Oregon/Cali coast down to San Diego then come back up another way? I don't know. Suggestions on route?

Re: Hey! I have a CRX!
The coast is great. The way back can be done a few different ways. You could blast up 5 or find other routes depends on the amount of time you have. Whatever you do, you will enjoy!

Re: Hey! I have a CRX!
I have been looking a into replacement weld in quarter panel and keeping an eye out for a door and fender for the future.
I broke through the first stage (of three) wear bar on my front tires! Rears are still new but dayum I need someone to align this thang now.
