Default help with jdm front end conversion

for all those who have converted the front end of their 91 hatch to jdm spec, i need some help cause ive run into a few obstacles that are more then annoying.

I cant seem to get my hood to open properly. When I close my hood, it seems to close fine but when i go inside the car to pop open the hood, it doesnt make a popping noise to signify that its open, rather, its silent and i hear a small click. but then when i go around to the front to open the hood, its stuck. i can pull the lever but the hood won't budge. Any ideas on how to remedy the situation? I am using a JDM t-bar for the hood (or at least I think I am , which leads into my second question); how can i tell if my t-bar is JDM spec or USDM spec?

Also, I am having trouble lining up some of the holes of the JDM filler to the core support of the hatch. More specifically the holes that don't line up are the ones that go onto the t-bar and the ones on each side, near the radiator. Is this supposed to happen because my hatch is originally USDM or am I doing something wrong???

edit: I am also using spacers to space out the T-bar because the one i have is damaged and does not fit properly.

Did you adjust the hood latch? There is a big spring loaded bolt that can be ajduated to be longer and shorter. Mess with that and you will fix your problem

flat screwdriver and make it longer. loosen all the bolts on the hood latch and the latch on the t-bar. close the hood. open it back up. you can go longer and always shorten if it's too long. tighten all bolts when it works properly. GL

it should, never heard any issues before
however if your car has ever been hit in the front, you'll have to sorta force it into place... the filler also bends super easily.
