Default h series mounts

i just searched and read some old post about dropping h's into ef's and i read that hcp makes a mount kit, however its not listed on their site. can anyone definitively tell me where to buy a Hseries mount kit for a ef. i'd rather not fab mounts if i dont have to. thanks

There is no mount kit available as of right now. Place racing used to make a weld in kit but they went out of business not too long ago. Supposedly HAsport is coming out with a kit soon. Email them and see what they say.

I've been hearing that for so long now it isn't even funny. At the point where I knew nothing at all about my 1st CRX I wanted to swap in an H22. I thought to myself: Man, all that horsepower. So much torque! This is gonna be the ****! I wonder who makes mounts for a CRX?. I also said this out loud many times and yes, it sounded as retared as how I just typed it out above. Time went on and HASport came out with their K-Series mounts for the CRX. As of today, they're 750 dollars. Yes, that's in US. Here's some quotes from HASport's website: Here is yet another kit everyone has been looking for. & These mounts make K-series engine swaps into the 88-91 Civic or CRX a simple process. As far as my common sense and the search function on the HT.com have led me to believe, people have been trying to swap H and F series motors into CRX way before the K-Series motors even came out.

When you find some time, go to http://www.hasport.com. Check out the installation instructions for the K-Series mounts. You still have **** to weld. I don't know about you but I don't consider that a simple process. IMO if HASport or ENJOracing ever make an H-Series mount for a 4G Civic/2G CRX, it probably won't be too far off from the K-Series mounts that HASport makes now. Since then I've said screw it and am going with a XSi B16 from a 92/93 Integra XSi. If you have an H22, more power to you. I'm just gonna stick w/ what's been going on for a long *** time already: B-Series!

Hasport is done with their research on the H mounts, they're ready.
But they still need to be mass produced.
So we're waiting for that.
It probably isn't that difficult and at least there are going to be sure-fire instructions for installing it So hey, wait about a month and see if Hasport starts sellin the kit.

Wiring can already be converted by http://www.rywire.com

If they've finished with it, shouldn't it have made it to he streets by now? Also, do you know if they'll be chop up your engine bay style like the K-Series Mounts?

I called both HASport and ENJOracing before I left the states at the beginning of April. They both told me the same thing, 6-8 weeks. I bet you call back in a week and get the same answer.

this was the word I had called Hasport about an axle question on the h22 crx and right off the bat were quick to say mount kit isnt available yet. Not sure if it will ever make it to there line of motor mounts for a lot of factors. So for the moment and the present future custom will be the only way to go. I am honestly thinking of making the complete conv. kit for the h22 into ef 88-91 civic/crx. I just need enough people interested to have my down time on my car worth wild.

A good indicator will be the next SCC mag. It supposedly has a hasport/SCC writeup on the swap using the hasport kit. If you see that in the mag, you will most likely see the mounts and such out at a very similar time.

Like I said before, the H22 came out before the K20. I highly doubt they've been working on the mounts for this swap all this but somehow end up bringing out mounts for a K-Series swap first. If they were working on it, it would have been out by now.

There not in a hurry to release them yet, they want to get the instructions on there website first and then they will be released. Thats atleast what I'm hearing.

Another company called enji or something like that sells mounts for the h22 in a crx chassis

We had to fab our own. We've done a crx, and a 91 hatch with H22's , and no mount kit is avail. If you're that serious about doing it, then don't let fabbing and welding stop, it's not that bad. And Raxles has the axles for the swap. And yes, torque is GREAT! They both ran 13's at 4000ft elevation after we put them in. So at sea level, 12's is no prob.

Can someone who knows Brian G or anyone else at HASport get them to speak up on this matter. Enjo Racing does not have H22 CRX mounts for sale either. I called them 3 months ago and they said 6-8 weeks. I called 2 weeks ago, they said 6-8 weeks. I don't see any point in them (HASport) finding the need to put the instructions on their website before selling the mounts. If you want instructions, buy the damn mounts. I'm sure there is going to be welding involved.

I talked to Brian about it, yes the transmission mount will have to be welded in. And he said they should be coming about in a few months. There really not in a hurry though.

Just one transmission mount has to be welded in? Any other details? Bringing out these mounts would reduce all these "Can an H22 fit in a CRX" post by far. Heck, it would have even gotten rid of mine.
