Finished Port Matching my header
I recently purchased a custom d-series header, its cool for $50 So today i got off my lazy *** and decided to port match it to my head. I got some pics, I think i did it right, but if not let me know. I kind of did it half *** but i like it. Let me know wat u think...
My wonder working compressor, and the bits i used
Check this out, isnt this the ugliest exhaust manifold let alone restrictive. this was on my motor when i bought it, its the man. off a 4 spd. STD motor( I THINK IT LOOKS LIKE E.T. OR SOMETHING!)
custom header
Port matched and ready to install

Re: Finished Port Matching my header (Full Race A6)
I portmatched both the header and the head to the gasket. I used a sharpie and outlined the metal inside the gasket. Then I ground away. I don't know how he did his portmatching though.

Re: Finished Port Matching my header (michaelOlson)
Im jsut curious how much difference will this acutally make,,, ?? for this technique, when you use the drumle tool are you only concerned with the first half inch depth or as deep as you can get the drummel in there??

Re: (JCracer723)
maybe because thats for the DOHC Zc. and you guys are thinking about the single came one. cause my single cam zc doesnt even come close to looking like that. Maybe thats for the dohc zc? just a thought

Re: (1PhatCX)
That is not a dohc stock zc header....zc's have cast uppers that join into a 2 pipe lower.
Where are you buying you zc stuff from that told you that was stock...in toronto?

Honda wouldnt make something without a heatshield to help keep the AC cool.
