I just turned it over for the first time and it idles like **** and when you try and give it gas it sputters and bogs i gotta pump the gas to get the revs up and when it drops to idle is stalls out.

Thanks for any help

it sounds like the timing may be off or the spark plugs wires are in the wrong order
and double check to make sure you have the map sensor pluged up

Check your vacuum ports and make sure that your MAP sensor is hooked up (happend to me).Check you timing, ignition timing and cam timing.

Sounds like you don't have the MAP sensor hooked up because when I didn't I had the same problem as you. Funny, I drove 3 miles to get to my house like that and barely made it, fixed the vac line and instant power.

double check your wiring and make sure you have all the grounds hooked up i see the one that from the motor to above the left headlight is not hooked up also is the ground from the body to the tranny hooked up you could try to convert it back to obo and see how it runs if you can

make sure the MAP and TPS plugs arent swapped. This COULD throw an O2 code because if the map sensor or TPS go shitty then the ecu will go full rich to protect the motor. Try that. Also check to make sure your TPS is set to .49 volts at idle. If its stalling out at idle most likely its not getting enough gas, OR its getting way too much gas at idle. A good way to check this is pull the plugs to see if they are fouled. Also like the other guys said check your wiring. Hope it helps a lil

do you have another ecu lying around or can you borrow one from a friend. i think your ecu may be cooked.

to adjust timming, you gotta jump 2 wires, theres a little white plug all the way to the right. like right across from the timming belt cover. on inside of the driver side fender, under the hood.

When you try to adjust the timming, the computer adjustest its self, that jumper keeps the computer from changing. Jump it using a paperclip.

Since i converted to obd1 the new harness came with the two wires you cross to get the codes off the ecu are these the ones you mean ?

If so i may i have found why i could not set the timing lol
