Default Are EG suspension/knuckles/control-arms a direct bolt-on for EF?

Hey I have a 94 del sol vtec and i want to put the brakes on my CRX.

Are all these parts a direct-swap over? (knuckles/trailing-arms/lower control arms etc)

thanks

Knuckles will be an issue. Rear is direct bolt on.

It's an EG2 - del sol vtec.

so i can pull off the rear trailing arms (with hub/wheel-bearing/brakes attached) and the LCA and suspension and it all bolts onto CRX directly? Thanks dude

I could go take both cars apart but i'd get an answer before doing 3 hours of work...

FRONTS:
Most would say the EG/DC knuckles are a no-go and they are correct in the meaning of a direct stock swap.
However, they have been used with success on modified cars.
The EG/DC knuckle is taller than the EF so there will be too much positive camber and will be out of spec - on a stock car.
On lowered/slammed cars, negative camber is issue. EG/DC knuckles (5-lug to be specific if you are searching for any of this) have been used and the combined camber issues negate each other.
Definitely not something I would not recommend for a race build, but for a typical street driven car it would be something to consider.

@terrible - thanks dude. rears will be swapped later today or tomorrow.

the fronts are not a direct swap.

@4drEF - i appreciate the reply. i understand now that EG/DC knuckles are not direct swaps with EF/DA knuckles.

I have decided to stay 4-lug for my wheels.

Staying 4-lug leaves options of EF or DA knuckles unless you get creative with a machine shop.

EF knuckles with a b-series work fine but you HAVE TO remove the dust rings on the knuckles for the extra bit of clearance. IF you do NOT remove the dust ring on the knuckle/wheelbearing then your axles will bind and won't work.

Obviously removing the dust rings on a wheel bearing shortens the life of the bearing, especially driving in dirt/sand often.

the only way to KEEP the dust rings in the equation is to use DA 90-93 knuckles. These knuckles are a direct bolt-on with to EF chassis (upper/lower control arms) and it all lines up.

Does anyone know what size brakes are on DA (90-93) knuckles? Is it 10.3" in the front?

thanks.

JUST put EG spindles on the front of my car. Use camber kit to correct the positive camber (which I do have) and re-align the front end (there will be toe out on each side) and you're good to go, I had NO problems bolting them up.

I mean the entire front knuckle.

I have EG knuckles on my '90 STD. Using a camber kit for correction of the positive camber they work perfectly. BUt like I said, car will need re-aligned, it will toe-out the front because the tie rods are slightly longer on an EG. This can be corrected with the OEM EF tie rods -- Just gotta adjust them out.

This is an old thread but eg front uca's do work on ef's the pic doesn't show the mounting bracket with the bushings. The bolts are the same distance apart and they bolt right up. I have the 92-95 skunk2 front camber kit on my 89 si.

Interesting. Side by side, stock EG and EF anchor bolts are noticably different with the EG being further apart.
Maybe junk 2 is doing something weird. No surprise there.
