Default Ebay Mounts Any Good?

Swap is done and i thought i would update just for a review on them for future h-t reference.

BOTTOM LINE...WE INSTALL THIS IN THE EF HATCHY...GREAT PRODUCT
THIS IS FOR THOSE IN THE SAME SITUATION WE WERE IN

Hey guys, i am helping my friend's little brother swap a b18a in a 90 crx of his as a favor. Let me emphaize that he is on a Tight budget. We basically have everything but the mounts.

I was browsing on ebay and found this to be the cheapest deal.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...17189

Has anyone use this mounts for their b series in an ef swap? Please don't tell me to tell him to save up and buy hasport or place racing mount because he will not complete the project if he fork over 300 bucks. Personally, i have hasport mounts in my crx but my friend's brother doesn't have the money nor think it is worth the extra $150. I try telling him. He just need a drivable car badly

Let me know what you guys think. Again, TIGHT BUDGET. Thanks

I'm sure they'll work but tell him to not come crying here when his engine is dragging on the ground.

Like somebody said...those are Hasport copies.

Since they're probably an exact copy, the only thing I would worry about would be the welds. Motor position etc would probably be just as good as Hasports (again, they look to be EXACT copies).

And those Avid Racing mounts appear to be Place Racing copies.

230 plus shipping? For that close in price to hasport, i would give the little kid the extra to get hasport. That black one is 150

actually those look more like HCP copies. If on a budget they look ok, but you might as well goto azracemachine.com and order their mounts cause they are pretty damn cheap and are awesome mounts.

azracemachine.com looks like it has great mounts but the ones on ebay will work just as well and they are a lot cheaper too!!!

there are a few guys that have used the black "cheap" mounts and from what I could see when I checked them out they are pretty damn nice for the price.

I would get those if I wanted to do a B swap in my car cuz usually the mounts are where it hits you in the pocket (especially canadian pockets)...the black mounts cost like 200shipped canadian opposed to 400 for enjo and like 600 for hasport

I'd do it

Those mounts SUCK.

Markpa2 on this board has them in his car and I checked them out. Sure, for 200$ CDN it's great...but I wouldn't do it. The rubber is VERY soft, not hard urathane like the Hasport or AZrace. This is not very good because you only have 3 mounts not 4.

The other thing is that it sits the engine WAY high in the engine bay. It looked like the valve cover bolts were 1/4-1/2 inch above the fenders.

Couldn't really see the axle placement though.

I would and did buy the AZ RAce mounts. They are only roughly 130$ more then these crap ones, and are still not as expensive as the Hasport yet they KICK BUTT!

I Have the exact same mounts that i bought from ebay.... and they work great.... no hood clearance issues..no oil pan issues.... it does make the engine sit a lil towards the front so you may have to go to the slim line fan if you are going to be running an AC... and the mounts are stiff....axels fit fine......great buy....
