Default diy motor tensioner/shock absorber

has any one tried this before? im thinking about doing this so i will have less play in the rocking of my motor. im getting pretty tired of replacing my tps sensors. i know the auto parts stores have a wide wariety of gas shocks for hatches, hoods, and what not.

any info/opinions/experience on doing this would be nice

Just replace your motor mounts.

Go with solid mounts. Can't get much more rock solid than that.
Might shake the fillings out of your teeth, but who cares.

theres a few tricks out there. u cud cut a rubber hose and wedge it where the mount is (not rock solid, but stiffer). there is some type of filler people use to create solid mounts from oem ones.

Go and get you a tube of 3M's window weld and pull your mounts out and fill them.. Wala cheap POLY mounts. If you notice that much movement your mounts are toasted. Especially a Z6,all 110whp of fury..

Don't be too surprised, I'm working on posting my 18 month review of my 75A Innovative Mounts and how they still allow for too much movement with my Z6 based drive-train in non-heavy driving.

2x on the 3m window weld. If you are staying street this is a GOOD upgrade, but won't help you much if your going to go pro.
