Default D16A6 head, port and polish, mill, tune questions.

I am new to D-series motors. I own a 91 Civic Si 140K and bought a completely remanufactured D16A6 head off a machine shop to solve oil burning issues. Being an enthusiast I cant just bolt it on without tinkering with it some. I have thought up of the following list of things to do. I already have a 2.25" side dump exhaust.

1) Streamline bottom turn of intake ports (not match port) just remove minimal material off of the bend on bottom and leave surface gritty for atomization.
2) Streamline and polish the exhaust ports (Same) - remove minimal material.
3) Mill the head .05-.065 to raise compression to 10.5 max (use 93 octane)
4) Maybe Hondata gasket since I have it all apart.

I expect this will feel different even without a tune and new cam. Once the head is on I can later regrind the old cam, install stiffer valve springs and ti retainers, raise redline, OBD1 conversion and tune with Hondata.

Am I on the right track? Is my logic flawed? Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

Are you sure the oil burning issue was in the head? Old d16a6s are pretty well known for burning oil due to bad piston rings...
