D15b Crank but no spark after obd0-obd1?

Default D15b Crank but no spark after obd0-obd1?

So I went about and bought a p28 ECU, an obd0-obd1 Conversion ECU harness, and a obd1 Distributor, hooked it all up and all I get is cranking and electrical stuff to go on but no SPARK!

Prior to this, the last person who swapped it had a JDM PR3 VTEC ECU so all the VTEC and O2 Sensors are plugged into the old OBD0 Harness, could this be my problem? Theres a bunch of wires spliced and cut from the original OBD0 Harness, should I just connect my ground wires, VTEC, o2 sensor directly using the extra wires that my jumper came with?

Im currently running OBD0 MPFI on a 88 Hatchback

did it start before the obd1 conversion harness?

and you shouldnt need the obd1 distributor with the conversion harness. try the obd0 distributor

Yeah it started fine, and I've read in a bunch of places that you cannot run a OBD0 Distributor with OBD1 ECU

double check the harness and make sure all wiring is correct. (above thread link's OP had this problem)

if you have the obd1 ecu you HAVE TO have a obd1 dizzy as well.

you CAN NOT run the obd0 dizzy on a obd1 ecu.

with a jumper or re-pinned and spliced plugs a obd0 dizzy will not work, (you might be able to re-pin the ecu and make it work but whats the point of a jumper harness on the ecu if your gona re-pin.

if by any chance you can try a known working dizzy do that first.

ive had this exact same problem myself after a obd1 conversion. first thing is check with a meter if the big black/yellow wire has power when the switch is on. if not you might have a broke wire or blown fuse, if it does it could be in the dizzy itself, (bad coil or ign mod) autozone can test the mod but they are not 100% accurate, if your mod tests bad you should be able to pull the one out of your obd0 dizzy, you have to switch the little metal plate on the obd1 bad (bad mod) to the obd0 that was working previously.

they cost about $50 new from autozone and I personally don't trust their electronics so its up to you where to go, I prefer napa electronics.

coil can also be tested with a volt meter but also is not 100% accurate.

As far as those extra wires that come with it, like o2 sensor, vtec, etc do i have to hook them up before the car will start? Some are coming from the "To main relay and ground for O", "Main Relay GRound", etc where do i hook up all these ground wires?
