Default D series trans how many quarts?(manual)

tried searching but couldnt find it


im a tech at a Gm stealership and i bought 2 quarts of Gm syncromesh came out to 13.41 with my discount for both


we only had 2 left but i think thast all D series need?

Hmm, for D-series you might be good with just 2 I believem anyone else know for sure?

I got my GM syncromesh for $6 a quart.

2 Quarts is what honda says... Stick with HONDA MTF too get it from a honda dealership dont buy anything else....

the guys in our parts dept. were tripping cuase they thought i wanted it for my automatic prelude they never sell gm syncro mesh and thought it was ATF

i told them "No its for my hatchback" and they go "oh ok"

U can use any kind of gear oil u want Gm syncromesh is the same as penzoil syncomesh

But its mighty thick compared to 10w-30 oils maybe thats why it stops all the grinding? Since my ls tranny is a bitch in reverse ill try it heh..

Only use Honda MTF in a honda / acura tranny.

Had mine changed yesterday. took 2.75 quarts. D16Y*

Fill it to the top of the hole. It wont hurt if you alittle low. 2 quarts will be fine.

2 Quarts is what my shop manual says for a 88-91 manual d series trannys.......... 2.4Quarts is for B series trannys mmk?

why is this? we dont buy honda oil for our cars, atleast I dont
