crx sir front end conversion.
First off, i am not sure if this belongs here or in the appearance thread. If needed, please move.
I recently have been pricing an sir front end conversion for my crx, only to have realized that these things are expensive and out of my price range. My question is, Why isn't there a company in the US that makes an AFTERMARKET version of the sir front end. like certi fit or another company that reproduces OEM peices. It seems like it would be beneficial for a company to produce an SIR bumper, headlights, T bar, and front turn signals in aftermarket form for our cars... at a more resonable price. please lock if necessary, i realize that there is no tech.

Re: crx sir front end conversion.
all you need is bumper hood and headlights, t bar you can modify until you track down an ef6/ef7 w/ jdm front tbar
thoes 3 pieces are about 600$
save your cash, or buy them individually as you get the money.
no one makes an aftermarket bumper, but vis racing makes a carbon fiber jdm sir hood, but thats the same if not more expensive than a stock metal hood.
no one makes aftermarket sir headlights either.
simple answer: dont buy what you cannot afford.

Just buy from a good jdm supplier. Save up what ever cash you need, it's worth it to get a pkg imo. I paid $700 for this mint front end

I think the reason that they are not reproduced here in the USA is because the bumper support does not meet saftey standards. I looked at it and kinda made me think twice about swapping out the front end. But I'm gonna do it anyways, hahahaha. Good things come to those who wait. Just keep searching and you will find a good deal

You can use the stock T-bar you just have to adjust the striker position, you don't need to get the JDM EF7 one... And like many have said all you need is Bumber, Headlights, and Hood. The fenders are the same!
If you want to know how to adjust your Stock T-bar here is a write up!

Not being mean, just honest, simple economics.

Exactly. Realest **** I ever read. Stop buggin over prices and make it happen, do research, figure out the essentials and buy them conservatively. You dont have to spend big money, the problme is most people want everything NOW. If you are patient and shop around you should find what you need for more than reasonable prices.

Re: crx sir front end conversion.
The simplist way is the just buy them individually. Bought mine of craigslist over a period of a year and a half.
-headlights - 100 bucks
-hood - 200 bucks
-front bumper with sir lip and bumper lights - 175
Haven't even put it on yet. I just like to hoard the parts just in case i decide to change out my front end.

Re: crx sir front end conversion.
too bad the jdm ef2 front end for sedan isnt just the hood, bumper, headlights. You need the fenders and radiator support.......sucks...... And i havent seen them for less that 1,000 dollars either.
But in all reality the ef8-ef9 front ends are really cheap and affordable, you have to save up your money from now till then. Cash always talks and if you can make an offer, do so! Most people already have these front ends so its not like its rare, you just need to be patient or have lots of cash in hand to afford one.

It's actually a simple install I did mine in less than 2 hours and that includes getting to hood to line up with a usdm hood support.
