Complete DC Consol Install In 89 Si Hatch
I Picked up a black DC Center console to put into my Hatch but i have a huge gap in between the Stereo trim and the Ashtray/sig lighter assembly.
I know people have put these into the EF, What am i missing?
And i thought about just cutting up my factory ashtray piece to fill the gap, but there would be too ashtrays, and that's just hokey.
Any Help?

see that hole on the console on the right side? and see where that white thing is in the metal one the part on your car? line those up and put a screw through it to hold it up. there is one on the drivers side too, but it doesnt line up, so you have to drill a hole through the console

just take off the plastic cover by the e-brake, and run a couple zip ties through both the pieces. Remove the rear ashtray, and can run some zip ties around the e-brake cables, and the console. you'll see how once you take a look at it. get creative!

You just have to pull it up a lot higher. I wish I had pics of mine in my old hatch...you can get it to fit almost perfectly. The right side screwhole on the center console lines up with the hole on the metal mount, and you just have to tap a screw through the plastic to mount it on the left side metal mount. Pretty simple.

Dupli-Color vinyl and fabric spray paint. Flat black, comes out like a satin, armoral it and it looks stock. But i didnt paint the gsr console, only the dashboard and the EF upper console.
