Hey H-t i have a '91 HF that i bought with a JDM D15B but didnt run due to a bad transmission. So i ended up swapping out the entire swap for a SOHC ZC and a 91 CRX SI transmission. At the time the cluster wasnt my main concern so i wasnt paying attention if it worked or not. Well when i swapped it out the alternator on the ZC was bad so it kept draining the battery when i was smoothing out the wrinkles in the idle and such i noticed the cluster didnt work at all, even when the car was on. I thought it was the alternator so i got a new alternator and a new battery and now only the battery light works. Everything is plugged up, however i am clueless as to what could be the problem. The car used to have an alarm, but it was removed and it has an OBD-0 to OBD1 conversion harness with a stock 92-95 Civic ECU. Also now the key warning beep is on ALL the time even when im driving. PLEASE HELP ME H-T!

also my turn signals don't work, however my hazards do?...and i ran my radiator fan directly current with the radio

i dont remember any of them controlling the gauges just the lights but i checked that light fuse and it was still good

had that probem dash lights worked but gauges didn't and turns were out was a fuse. beleve turn signal fuse

wow i missed that one...under the hood or dash?

for fuses i just pull um out 1 by 1, it takes a long time, but it lets you know whats bad off the bat instead of guessing at it. just pull um with some needle nose pliers and check


replace any bad fuses and if you still have the problem you could have burnt a relay

i think i might end up doing that because the car isnt my only one...and OEM fuse puller ftw!

this fuse was burnt out...replaced it but havent cranked it i need my battery from a friend

Mine blows that same fuse as soon as the car is running. Ive traced it down to my distributor

ok got it cranked and all my lights work on the cluster, however all the gauges are still immobile ???????????????...wat is it?!?!

The wiring on the inside of the dizzy. I ended up just ordering one.

lookes burnt, so that could be it, but before repair you need to see why it burnt so your dont burn it again, look for wires that are grounding out. or some scorced metal

its actually rust and corrosion...i actually have a hunch of what the problem is ill check it out

im getting ready to tear out the entire dash and harness &gt;=[

no don't. the cluster part of the dash wiring just unplugs from the fuse block

so unplug and replace. its real easy but you can do it with the dash in place

i spliced my gauge wire to the gauge brightness wire so it was getting power but it still doesnt work...im getting frustrated

this was stupid and ineffective dont do this lol...i did however remove my entire dash and replaced the grey box behind the fuse box and the tachometer started to work...also when i checked for power at the temperature wire on the cluster it worked momentarily as i touched it but then it dies as soon as i remove the fuse tester...the lights are still inactive at this point as well
