Default Chikara header, catco cat, DC cat back

This is my soon to be setup, Ive already got the DC sports cat back sittin here with me, but I need to decide no a cheap header and cat, Ive already picked out the header for sure from chikara...but what about the cat???

Heres what I need=What is the stock lenght of the cat on 88-91 crx's?? becuase I dont have mine anymore and I want to get a direct replacement....from looking at it Id say 12 inches maybe 12 1/2?

Would a 90-93 accord cat fit on without any welding or anything just a straight bolt up?? or 95 civic cat or 94-97 del sol cat....

See im replacing my ENTIRE exhaust system, header...new cat and then cat back exhuast there will be no stock exhaust left....so I need to make sure everything will go on and bolt up nicely.

I bought the catco cat and it bolts on fine with my thermal exhaust and stock b16 header. Cheap price and it does the job. Catco

I ordered mine from summit racing and just ordered one for the 88-91 civic/crx. I knew the cats were the same length because i was orginally going to order a random tech model and on their website they had each model listed differently but each one had the same part number.

Do you remember the part number by chance? the only 88-91 models available are for a prelude....then they have like 82-83 civics....lol?? then some del sols and 95 civics?

It came with a new donut gasket but the hardware to attach it to the cat back was not provided. The stock cat has the bolts welded to it and just uses nuts to tighten it down. The catco just comes with a flange with holes for the hardware. I just went out and bought some hardware at home depot and used that. Otherwise it comes with everything you need.

Yes I learned the hardway that the bolts from the cat to the cat back are welded....I spent an hour underneath my friends 88 DX taking apart the cat from the header to use on my car...pulled the entire exhuast system out for easier access and low and behold its welded together adn we only had simple garage tools......

So it brings me to this point im going wit the catco hi-flow but I just cant find one specifically for a 88-91 crx.

I bought my direct replacement Catco high flow cat from http://www.summitracing.com for $99. I think its 14". As for the header, check on ebay. I know several people, including myself, that bought the stainless steel OBX header for less than $150. The fit and quality are great.

I am 91civic brother and I was the one who ordered the cat for him. What I did was I called up Summit and ordered a diredt fit cat. The will ask you for your car info. I said I had a 91 civic si just in case they did not have one listed for the DX even though the 1.5l and 1.6l cats are the same. He recieved it in three days and it worked perfectly.

Funny, my '89 DX HB was bolted not welded. , regular bolts and nuts, rusty as hell but not attached.
