Car shuts off at 115 mph
I just swapped a b16a into my crx. It has the PW0 ECU and whenever i hit 115 the car like backs off or whatever. Does anyone know how to get rid of this or know of a place that i can send my ECU to get this removed and get it chipped. Thanks

Where are you doing 115mph? Yes you can get your ECU chipped to take care of limiter. Look at the link in my signature.

It's the governor (spelling) and it's limiting your top speed.
You don't need to go faster then that on city streets, keep your speeding at the track (in which case, you still won't get to 115mph).

i wouldn't worry about that! the cops will really shut you down at 115mph. in some states you will lose your license forever.
if you are on a proper track venue, then a little reprogramming should solve the problem

I got pulled over doing 120 in a 40 when I was 16. I didn't even get a ticket, but the officer called Momma McBride and she wasn't too happy.
*edit* Needless to say, I was 16 and stupid. You never need to go that fast on the street.

I had a similar thing happen to me when I was 17. You don't need more than 115 on the street, infact you dont even need that, speeding tickets will catch up to you eventually, I found out the hard way.

Or a tree.
Ill give him the benefit of the doubt that its on a track of some sort. But get it chipped and you will be able to remove the governor. I'm surprising the b16 transmission will even reach 115mph. What are you at? 7k rpm?

Time to upgrade to a 6spd tranny.

Well imo it's a big deal, but then it's not a big deal, because if you think about it, people do this everyday one way or another and to be quite frank he is probally gonna do it again. The best thing you can do is be careful, not do it as much and make sure your car is held together safely, also your PW0 is better for chipping then a PR3 from what i understand. You can get the limiter removed like everyones been telling you, but the question is, why?, who are you gonna race thats gonna keep going past 120-130mph, a lambo?..with a nutjob in it?, even then by the time you get up there he already wax your *** more then likely. I personally think your better off sticking to making your car faster for auto/circuit and basic street fun, and you should never top out above 100mph on the street anywhere really because cops will bash you hard. I got 8 tickets one time all at the same time from a officer for something i don't even wanna go into atm, lol but anyways be careful and look out, keyword here being "LOOK OUT" ok.

Re: (Contender25)
most of the Japanese ECU's are speed limited to 115mph
just get a usdm B16 ecu and you wont have it, or get it chiped to elimate it

Yes, the Japanese engineers who designed the ECU almost 20 years ago took a trip to the future and foresaw you racing with your "turbo." Then they designed a governor to prevent this.
