No you cannot make the dohc zc a vtec zc by just bolting a head on. There are no other heads that will bolt to the dohc zc block that are vtec.

He's joking around..
There is no vtec head that will bolt onto the dohc zc engine....Now, a machine shop can make anything fit anything but it wont be worth it in the end..

ahh..through some research i have discoverd wut Vtec is n how it works...I hear that the Camshaft shifts slightly at higher RPMs for larger lobes to alow more air and gas into the motor for some extra power n when the Extra power isnt needed( at lower RPM's its using the smaller lobes for less fuel consumption..better gas mileage) So basically all i need to do is getter Camshafts with bigger lobes if i want more power... just wont have the Fuel Economy of Vtec

Yeah basically .....The vtec camshaft has 2 sets of lobes,,one low set and one high set..also has 2 sets of rockers and the vtec is engaged from oil pressure..Also vtec ecus have 2 sets of fuel and timing maps,,one for invtec and one for out of vtec....Also there is another vtec engine called the d15b 3 stage vtec that has 3 different lobes..Theres more to it but search for that..
Also alot of people that go for overall power actually elimate vtec completely..vtec killer cams
