Can i use a ZC thermostat in my d15
hey guys like the title says ive got some "getting to operating temp" problems and im gonna replace the therm. ive got a couple therms out of a SOHC ZC motor that work fine and im wondering if they use the same therm as the d15b2. Its kinda hard to search HT for "ZC thermostat" since you cant search for two letter words.
cliff notes. will my SOHC ZC thermostat work in my 1989 d15b2?

thank you, are you 100% positive because everything i have been reading since the post says the zc matches up with the integras and never says a thing about civics ie:
http://www.htarchive.net/showthread.php?t=2716553
and normally i would but this therm has been tested in boiling water and opens and closes fine, besides from what i hear its not uncommon to have one faulty from the factory (although its never happened to me) so i figured why worry with it. why not throw something on there that i have since its a simple job rest assured if this doesnt work ill be buying a new one. just one less thing sitting in my garage if i can use it!

the sohc zc is the same motor as a d16. I used to sell them as factory replacement motors, however, I would not reuse a japanese thermo. Buy a new one they are inexpensive

And the only integra that had something close to a zc was the 87-89 integra's D16. It was a DOHC motor that shared the same head and timing belt as the jdm DOHC 88-91 civic/crx zc.
The zc engine (both sohc and dohc) both share the same engine block as a d16a6. In otherwords they are the same replacement parts (minus timing belt on dohc) as a usdm d16
