Brake Light / Tail-Light PROBLEM
OK guys, I have searched but can't find anyone with the exact SAME problem as me.....
I have a 1991 Civic 4dr- the only light/electrical changes I have done to it is an Si cluster and EX clock- I do not think either of these is the root of my problem because this all started well after these two items....
Ok here is the problem, when your in the car and no lights are on (parking lights or headlights) and you press the brakes all the interior lights come on (cluster, heater controls, clock, etc) and go off as you press the brakes and the brake lights on the outside work fine. Then, when you turn the parking lights on or the headlights and press the brakes the interior lights stays the same (as normal- does not light up as mentioned before) but the problem is that the brake lights DO NOT WORK. They BARELY BARELY BARELY dim just a little when you push the brakes but that is it!!! This is very frustrating, and as warm weather is just around the corner I hope to start driving her soon....
So guys what do you think the problem could be? Any help would be very much appreciated!

Re: Brake Light / Tail-Light PROBLEM
Ok my sedan was doin same exact thing!!!!!!!!
You press brakes and the turn signal on dash turned on.....
......solution...........................
Start @ connectors (tail lamp) take the plugs apart and clean them out w/ electrical spray
next plug them back in....
Check if lights are still dim add new bulbs....
Clean every terminal to that harness... Check for proper contact
mine work perfect now....bright and dash is good too...
