SNatCH 1.6

i need to repaint my body trim and i was wonderin if there was another way to safely take them off without havin to take off the interior pieces to get to the back of them? i know if ya try to pull them that theyll just break. i would just mask them off and paint them in the driveway but its illinois and its cold lately.

any help would be appreciated.

I think you answered your own question there. Just do it the right way and take the panels off, it takes like 30 min.

yea i was just wonderin if there was any other way. i dont mind takin off the panels... but its like 30degrees outside in illinois. and i dont have a heated garage.

I hear ya there. Im in Windsor, right across the river from Detroit. Its the same temp here too. I would just wait until it warms up a bit, so you dont freeze yo azz off and dont break any panels in the process.

just a heads up, that one on the door isn't coming off without bending the metal inside it... In the industry we call that a kamikazee part cause they're only good one time, not reusable. You can take the nut off the rear inner door, and take the inner door off to gain extremely tight access to a couple clips but theres a couple towards the front of the door that aint comin off... Leave them on your car, scuff them with a gray automotive scotchbrite and soapy water, mask them off very nicely, wipe them with alcohol, hit'em with a tack rag, and rattle them with SEM trim black from your local auto paint supply store. SEM is a really good product, bonds very well to raw plastic, very little texture (orange peal), very low build (won't get too thick), and looks and lasts like factory. oh yeah, and wait till its at least 60 degrees outside

yea i already got the trim paint. and im a body guy... so i know the measures to take. i was just askin if they were removable. but yea chances are ill just wait till its decent out. thanks for the advice.
