Default big spline, small spline...

cant find any gospel as to if i have the small spline cable trans or the basic 92-01 spline.

i have a cable Y1 b16 tranny, LSD, i dont have another tranny to compare it too and i dont want to order the wrong clutch. i cant find any info on how to check if its the small spline or the big spline tranny on here or google.

i found some info saying cable b16 trannies are small spline but then i see some saying the lsd ones were big...

the early year cables are small, the later year cables are big, they are different spline counts and measurements, they have got to be on h-t somewhere, i cant remember them off hand.

measure it

i was told by ACT that the 90-91 is 1" and the 92-93 is 1 3/32"
and i think 1" is 25.4mm.

as far as the count, its still up in the air, some guys say small is 24 and big is 26, others say that all usdm b-series trannys have the same count just diff size. either way measure the shaft and count the teeth.

A Y-1 transmissions is 90-91

So when they ask what kind of car the clutch is for..say this:

1990 Integra

Good luck!

92-93 cable transmissions have a different spline...just like the 94-01 Integras.

No man, the Y1 is a 1st gen b series tranny= small spline

It was replaced by the large spline tranny known as the YS1. I know this as i have owned many of both styles.

hatchn1.9 be careful because that big spline disc will seemingly "fit" on the small spline tranny but be loose, and cause some damage if used.
