Best budget suspension for 88 CRX Si...
The current suspension on my newly acquired 88 CRX SiR sux! Jamex springs/shocks at all four corners. The ride is very rough and looks to be 2" lower than stock. I know Koni Sports are awesome with Ground Control coilovers, but that's expensive. I won't be competing in AutoX with this car, I'll leave that for my AE86!
For now, I'm thinking of replacing the shocks with KYB AGX adjustables (already have the fronts from my DA, only need rears) & keep the springs until I can afford new springs like H&R Sports. (lower springrate)
Any recommended setup would be appreciated.

kyb agx and ground controls are a decent cheap alternative
i'd do polyurethane bushings (get black ones...don't squeak) too for even better response

If the drop on the Jamex springs is 2", be careful using KYB AGX shocks. KYB recommends springs <50% stiffer than stock and a ride height drop of no more than 1.25".

Re: Best budget suspension for 88 CRX Si... (jaje)
Looks like I can't use KYB AGX in rear because on their site, they list only for 89-91 CRX. Plus the rear LCA for the 88 is like the ITR....
The other thing I have to consider is that I'm converting from rear drums to rotors off a 90-93 Integra which will include LCA's...ugh! So where does that leave me? hmm...too much to think about...

Yeah, I know. That's why I'm considering a full change of shocks/springs too. KYB AGX may be good, but they're only available for 89-91. My 88 has rear LCA's like ITR's so I'm out of luck. Plus I'm converting from rear drums to discs off a DA (90-93 Integra) so I'll be using those LCA's.
