b18a obd0 o2 sensor wiring question
alright, so i'm going to rewire my o2 sensor. It's just a single wire sensor for OBD0. but when i look at how i have it wired now (in an EF civic, PR4 ecu), the white wire (the only o2 wire) runs from the sensor to the ecu plug. but theres a brown and black wire that splits into 4 exposed lengths of wire, each of these wires splices onto another wire, the o2 sensor wire included. then the brown wire runs somewhere into the bay. is the brown wire just a common ground for 4 things, o2 included? or should i cut the brown/blk wire off of the o2 wire? what is the brown black wire for?
I have this pesky code 43 which makes the car run rich and lose power, and its gotta be the o2 wiring, as the o2 is brand new, and the problem is electrical (problem disappears when key is turned off/on, so its not the FPR, or vacuum leak)

the o2 sensor has a shielded wire. in a sense its a wire covered by another wire. its then spliced into a ground wire. this grounds out any static charge/interference that may accidentally trip the sensor with bad signal.

so i should keep the brown/blk wire connected to the o2 wire? where exactly does the brown/blk wire go? maybe the ground is bad...
