i know, but when you look at the price of the block vs. the price of a swap, the difference is marginal at best, that is why i suggested it

because i got a whole b16b swap now, and to repair the engine will cost way more then getting another long block.
now if i get a B18C5 i will either have to buy new mounts, or keep my mounts i have now, and buy an aftermarket hood. no thanks. the new mounts will place the engine to low to the ground, and will scrap badly, and th after market hood will take away my clean oem look

Re: B16B long block i need one (92TegHatch)
if you were able to fit a b16b in the car already, why would a b18c need new mounts or lower the engine to the ground? they are both identical blocks. the only difference is the internals.

i never see b16b longblocks for sale. IMO its harder to find that than a b18c block for some reason. And about having to get new mounts for the b18c5 or whutever that is nonsense. try passwordjdm.com they have long block b18c sometimes, maybe they can help u on a b16b.. try maybe selling whutever u have left of the b16b swap and getting another swap.

This might be restating the obvious, but did you go back to the people you bought it from, most offer startup warranties, or are you the one who toasted the engine?
