Default B16A2 Throttle body On DOHC ZC WRITE UP DIY 56k go order dsl and come back.

I been looking to upgrade the throttle body on my zc for the longest time but everytime I looked it up, I would get answers like no way and some say maybe and ehh a little of everything. So i decided to try it out myself and see if it worked or not once and for all. I read that the 92+ d-series motors can use the b-series throttle bodies and remembered that my motor was an OBD1 motor when i first got it and figured why would the ZC be any different.

So this is what I got: "bling bling"

Now here is my ZC one:

If you look at them both, the mounting holes look the same. Thats what made me go thru with this, I did a search for b-series throttle bodies all over the net and saw that the mounting holes looked very similar, or the same at that.

Here they are side by side:

Now and not least "The Verdict"

Hope this was useful to you ZC owners out there.

nope, OBD0 dohc zc cannot use a b-series throttle body. Uses same mounting holes and 88-91 civic/crx.

I have to pick up the throttle body gasget today first before I mount it on. I also have to port match the IM, anybody ever done that with the manifold still attached to the motor?
