Default B16A head stamps

I've seen a few B16As kicking around with the stamp on the head above the exhaust ports "PR3-1", a few with "PR3-2" and a few, like mine and my brother's, stamped "PR3-3". Are these related to the generation of the engine? It was suggested that I have a 2nd or 3rd gen B16A head on a 1st-gen block and I'd like to confirm or deny. TIA!

As far as i know

B16A - jdm crx/ef (1st gen)
B16A1 - Euro crx/ef (1st gen)
B16A2 - Civic del sol vtec 94 - 95 i think im not sure on the year. (2nd gen)
I also think there is a B16A3 im not sure what it comes from (This would obviously be 3rd gen)

my head is stampe Pr3-3 and has 9/1 6/0 4/0 0/9 over the exhaust ports..it was proven to be a 2nd gen b16a jdm..

also on the serial code if its 1xxxxxx then its the 1st gen jdm B16a,,iF the number starts with 5xxxxx then its the 2nd gen jdm B16A..

i did a shitload of searching all over everywhere and actually found out i gotta 2nd gen b16a with 1st gen integra b16a intake manifold..these motors all have a story behind them it seems,,,like my couzin had jun cams in his "stock" b16a swap he got from japan

Reason i'm asking is because i have a "1st gen b16a says pr3-2 on the 1991 head" in my crx and it pulls like crazy when vtec engages.

and

i have this other 90 civic Si with a b16 (2nd gen b16a with a pr3-1 on the 1989 head) but vtec doesnt really pull like my rex

i dont think there is such thing as a 91 1st gen jdm head....since in japan the ef was 87-90..maybe the one in the crx is 2g and the one in the civic hatch is 1gand the 2g cams do pull a bit harder ,,or maybe theres other problems/factors making it feel different..

I'm doing research on this head stamp thing and according from what i have read.

since i have a pr3-2 head, that means i have a 2nd gen b16 head on a 1st gen b16 block. that's on my crx

and on my 90 civic si i have the opposite which is a second gen b16 block with a 1st gen b16 head

here's more info:

http://www.superhonda.com/foru...55995

it will tell you on the head it self it should say above the exhaust ports PR3-1( 1 gen) PR3-2( 2nd gen ) PR3-3 ( 2nd Gen usdm delsol

the GSR head is a B18 head and it will also say above the exhaust ports P72
not good in the flow ports ... too restricted..

Type R P73 code

Yes, about the block serial number i looked at my rex b16 starts with 1XXXXXX(which ends up being 1st gen b16 block) and has the 91 pr3-2 head which is from a 2nd gen b16

and about my 90 civic si has the b16 serial number starting with 5XXXXXX which is the 2nd gen b16 and has the 89 pr3-1 (1st gen)head on it

and of course thats from all the info i had gathered up
