b16 spark plugs are getting so black that spark won't go through the plug wires
I posted a few days ago about no spark on cylinders #2 and #4. Here's the update.
Compression checked the cylinders on a cold engine.
Cylinder #1 155
Cylinder #2 152
Cylinder #3 150
Cylinder #4 150
So I think the motor has good compression. I cleaned up all the spark plugs and threw them in. Spark to all 4 cylinders. It drives smooth for about 5 minutes, then starts to miss again. I bring it back home and pull the spark plugs. Cylinder #2, and #4 plugs are so black that spark wouldn't even go through the wires. Not oily black, but black from too much fuel. Is it possible that my injectors are stuck open?
Also, I was moving around injector #2 (with the car off) and some fuel spilled out onto the fuel rail. Don't knowwhy. Any new ideas?

I don't know how much they are but just try getting some new injectors for the ones you think are stuck open, if that don't work than maybe the fuel regulator is messed up, but it definitly sounds like you got something making you run too rich, it shouldn't be too hard to find. I would just try replacing suspected componets. Good luck

I would think that a defective fuel pressure regulator would cause all cylinders to run rich. Could it cause only 2 cylinders to run rich?

Pull the rail, and switch the injectors around. If the same thing happens again, lose the two that are fu*ked up

are they new plugs??
if not get new ones
then pull the rail and spray the injector with brake cleaner n both sides...get the nonchloronated stuff..

just found the problem...fuel was free flowing in cylinders #2 and #4 because the wires were shorting out on the intake manifold...thanks for the suggestions though.
