b series intake manifold on a d16a8?
Hi all,
I drive a d16a8 (1.6 dohc non vtec 130hp) rover 200 coupe. Im looking forward into doing some N/A upgrades.
I fitted a 4-2-1 header yeasterday, the exaust pipe after the header goes straight to the back box.
Now i'm looking into my stock intake manifold. After doing some searching ive decided to go with a b series intake manifold. My stock d16a8 manifold and tb has a 55mm bore and im looking for a 60 mm. Will a b16a2 intake manifold bolt straight on and will there be the same number of pipes/hoses and other connectors?
Any tips on breathing mods for my engine are more than welcome

we are talking about manifolds here and swaping them out etc , yes you can bore out either ur d series manfiold to take the b series tb or just bore out both ie ur std d series tb and manifold. but i was refering to just swapping std bits around etc .

A b16 intake mani will not work on a d sereis all though you can use the throttle off a b16 and use that on your mani

listen to mr. speaker http://www.maxbore.com/
you will need to port match the intake manifold to the throttle body - be aware that at higher rpm on the stock engine, the engine will run better, but at lower rpms it may tend to bog a little due to decreased velocity of air thru the intake
