automatic accord engine into ef wagon
Right now I'm thinking of buying an ef wagon with high mileage and blown head gasket for the cheapest I can find so I'm wondering if its possible to swap the engine with a newer one with lower mileage from an automatic accord. Is that possible? If not then is there any other alternative? In not mechanically inclined sorry and I'd rather drive an auto than manual.

Re: automatic accord engine into ef wagon
Yeah I'm thinking of having automatic, the 2002 or newer model but any is fine as long as it has low mileage and doesnt have to be from an accord also.

With enough time and effort, swapping anything into just about anything is possible. But not all of them are practical. There are numerous things to take into account when swapping an engine and I suggest you start with some research
Here is a pretty a pretty interesting read that showcases some of the basic of doing a motor swap.

Another interesting read that will help figure out what engine works best in what shell.

Here is another good read about engine fitment.

I have heard that accord engines in an ef make for a pretty cramped engine bay, but I'm not sure. You also need to take into account what OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) each car has. Engine swaps are a lot of fun but can be quite the head-ache if done wrong. Just do some research and if you're still set on doing a swap then go after it and have fun! Best of luck to you!
