IM PRETTY SURE THAT THE DIAMETER OF THE PIPING VARIES DEPENDING ON WHAT TYPE OF MOTOR U GOT IN THERE..
IM SURPRISED THAT NO ONE IS REALLY INTERESTED IN A CUSTOM 3 IN DIAMETER CAI FOR B SERIES EF...IM TRYING TO GET A GROUP ORDER OF TEN AND SO FAR I ONLY GOT LIKE 5 PEOPLE WHO ARE "INTERESTED"

i got the aem hybrid. The one for the b16/b18c5 is the same model. Its a 3inch. I havent put it on yet so im still running the 2.5. Im gonna wait till dyno time and slap it on and see if there are any good gains.

I used one when I installed a b18c in an eg a this summer....it was 3 inch.....very high quality....it came with a replacement for the front passenger side motor mount that allowed it to go in front and down to the right of the motor...made things very simple.....I highly recomend the one for the eg civic....I am sure with AEM the ef one would be quality too

had one on my 88crxhf before going turbo. it was great. pulls air from in front of passenger tire. you will have to open the hole over the passenger tire, just a bit though. i used a dremel. its a great high quality intake IMO. hope this helps later.

also on a side note, its defenitely a full 3in.

AEM hybrid air induction systems are manufactured and assembled in the USA and feature a three-inch diameter to support high-output motors. Every AEM intake system includes mandrel-bent, 6061 aluminum piping with TIG-welded fittings and brackets, a proprietary filter with a built-in air horn that increases horsepower across the rpm band, complete installation hardware, comprehensive installation instructions, license plate frame and AEM decals.
HOLLA

I ended up using a regular 2.5" CAI for a CRX Si ($30 on ebay). it will fit the B16A. the diameter is about the same as the stock B16A throttle body, so it works great.

If you plan on going to an ITR throttle body, you will probably need to get 3" piping for it to match up. but the AEMs are over $200.

Hate to break it to you but no one is going to buy that. What is the point in producing a "custom" intake the still requires relocation of the battery? If I was just going to move the battery I could do buy nearly any CAI intake (i.e. AEM Type-R CAI). No need to get your "custom" piece that isn't even "customized" to fit my car/motor.

yeh the ITR 3" CAI would fit if battery is relocated so it kinda defeats the purpose in a custom 3" that you still have to relocate battery for roughly $100 more and possibly no K&N intake cone, now if you didnt have to relocate then thats another story. some might pay $100more if it included filter like Apex-i funnel stack or AEMs. but i highly doubt it you could pick up a 99-00si or ITR AEM CAI for $100-150 used like new from someone who wants CF/JDM look and gets Jsracing, comptech icebox.
