Default Add one more to the list. Lots of pics

I finally finished my first swap ever. B16A Into 88 crx hf. Total cost was around 2500(including all neccesary tools). I used to fork out money to get simple **** fixed when i had my turbo volkswagen, and im talkin g's down the drain. Atleast I learned , though it was the hard way. Now I can say o well i lost but I did the ENTIRE swap myself (well the flywheel resurfacing wasn't me but...) . I got The motor from Steve at Hmotors. (very fast , smooth transacting, helpful company). It came in seven days on the dot. I did a new timing belt (cam , crank were off by a tooth the first time..arrrggg) , waterpump , ACT clutch kit and did a valve adjust ment. the f'n VSS is stoping me from feeling vtec but ..ill get to that later. Here goes the pics...by the way if any smartass wants to say something like "greaat , joo wanna cookie " feel free. previous motor(a real ZC)[IMG][/Ihttp://a2.cpimg.com/image/88/A9/31439752-0781-02000180-.jpg[IMG] What a tight ***.. hasport blingMy favorite shot. Thanks for looking.. any criticism is welcome

The best feeling.. When it turned over the first time i still had the ratchet on the crank pulley and it made a sound like..BOOM BOOM BOOM , BLING KLING KLING . i thouhgt i did the timing belt wrong and my engine was done but i saw the socket lay to rest like a foot from the car and it was broken so a big sigh or relief thereafter...

Good job man, once you have everything totally tweaked and done you'll fell so much better.

I didnt know if your timing wasnt right you can screw your engine

Well the motor wont be dead , but if the belt is put on wrong im sure it can either slide off or jump teeth , (throwing the timing off) and then when the valves and pistons smash into eachother...THEN your motor is fawked. (well the valvetrain atleast.) ...o yeah the clutch cable....hmmm i modified a d series bracket to make it fit..Everyone and there blind grandma will tell you that a d series or bseries cable will work...well i have 3 different ones and i had to end up modifing a d bracket.. alls good now except for the VSS ..

Motor looks clean.... Nice setup.

Word to the wise, though... I had an air filter on the TB like that and I took it to the dyno. Just a short dick intake made 5 HP AT THE WHEELS more than that type setup on my car. CAI is even better.

Might want to invest some dough in that upgrade soon, it'll be noticable, I swear.
