AC compressor interchangeability?

Re: AC compressor interchangeability?
There are two different compressors for our cars. If you open the hood, there is a placard on driver's side to the right of the radiator. It will tell you which one you have. Either a Matsushita/Panasonic or Sanden/Sankyo.

Re: AC compressor interchangeability?
Each one will have unique hoses for each, I have both.
Sanden will have hoses mount at a V-sharp on the compressor. The Matsushita hoses mount on the top, but facing different directions.
If you do need to swap, you just need those two hoses FROM the compressor to the hard lines. Just unbolt them from the back center of the radiator and the one from the TOP (driverside) of the condensor.
Clean the lines using an approved cleaner. I used extra ether oil to clean out the compressor, simply by turning it by hand. Do not blow air or use other chemicals to clean it...you can damage its internal seals.
